Celebrate the Good New
Exciting News: We’ve Secured Funding for the Cadrene Supported Living Community Hub! 🎉
We are thrilled to announce that Cadrene Supported Living has been awarded the Awards For All grant from The National Lottery of £20,000 to help bring our Community Hub project to life. This funding marks a huge step forward in our mission to combat isolation, improve wellbeing, and provide vital care and support services to residents in Dudley.
To celebrate this milestone, we officially opened the Community Hub on Thursday, 28 November with a special launch event attended by our amazing trustees, volunteers, and community members. We were also honoured to welcome The Mayor of Dudley
- Police Inspector Sarah Long, Partnerships Manager, Dudley LPA
- Keely Jones, Deputy CEO/Operations Manager, Black Country Food Bank
- Representative from Dudley Community Voluntary Services (CVS)
- Representative from Shared Lives
- Other elected councillors and community leaders
Who joined us in marking this significant occasion. Their presence highlighted the importance of the work we are doing to support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
With this grant, we can focus on the following priorities:
- Creating opportunities for social connection and inclusion through group activities and events.
- Supporting individuals to access benefits, housing advice, food, clothing, and essential services.
- Reducing health inequalities by helping people engage with local GPs and health providers.
Our volunteers and trustees, many of whom started as service users, have played a central role in shaping this project. Their hard work and dedication ensure that we truly meet the needs of Dudley residents facing poverty, housing challenges, and food insecurity.
We’re just getting started. This funding will help us grow and sustain our hub so we can continue to make a real difference. Thank you to Awards For All for believing in our vision and supporting our local community!
