Black Country Foodbank Micro Grant

At Cadrene Supported Living, we know that many of the people we support continue to face the challenges of rising food costs and the increasing pressure on household budgets. Thanks to the generous support of the Black Country Foodbank Micro Grant, we have been able to provide practical help when it was needed most.

The £500 grant enabled us to purchase 20 Iceland gift vouchers worth £25 each, which were distributed to individuals and families accessing our Community Hub.

Unlike emergency food parcels, these vouchers gave people the dignity and flexibility to choose fresh food and other essential groceries that best suited their family’s needs. For many, it meant being able to buy fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy products, and other everyday essentials that can often be difficult to afford during times of financial hardship.
